Michael M. Parks Named to Board of Midwest Community Foundations' Ventures
Michael M. Parks, president of The Dayton Foundation, has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Midwest Community Foundations’ Ventures (MCFV). MCFV, a supporting organization of the Council of Michigan Foundations, supports the cooperation of community foundation leaders in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. The collaborative effort allows leaders in the Midwest to work together through training, development and resource development to increase assets and to help meet and maintain national standards for community foundations. In addition to his appointment to MCFV, Parks also serves on the Ohio Grantmakers Forum Board of Trustees and Community Foundation Committee, as well as on numerous boards and committees in the Greater Dayton Area. The Dayton Foundation, established in 1921, is the regional community foundation that serves the multi-county Greater Miami Valley. The Foundation helps donors find the best and most tax-wise ways to achieve their charitable objectives, invests and manages donors’ charitable funds, and provides grants and leadership to grow philanthropy and help meet present and future community needs.
